This system adds Hill-descent Control to Selec-Terrain and the Trailhawk model features the "Rock" Selec-Terrain function to maximize wheel traction and improve grip.

The Jeep® Active Drive Lock 4x4 system is standard equipment on the Cherokee Trailhawk®. A remarkable 56:1 crawl ratio allows a more controlled throttle response when driving off-road. The full-time, active Jeep® Active Drive Lock 4x4 system has the capability to take Cherokee Trailhawk® on amazing adventures. The system features a disconnecting rear 4WD axle that automatically engages when more traction is needed. The two-speed system features low range and a locking rear axle for true off-road capability.

The Quadra-Drive® II active, full-time 4x4 system is the ultimate for virtually any driving situation. This system uses the Quadra-Trac II® transfer case with an Electronic Limited Slip Differential in the rear axle, offering excellent tractive performance. Quadra-Drive II also features a 2.72 low range and neutral.

The 4x4 system features a massive mechanical "wet" clutch and Electronic Limited Slip Differential in the rear, which allows 100% of the drive torque to be sent to one rear wheel. Managing of torque split and suspension damping is accomplished with a dial on the five-mode Selec-Trac® system.

HOW THE QUADRA-TRAC® SRT® 4X4 SYSTEM WORKS

Quadra-Trac® SRT® is an active, full-time 4x4 system designed by SRT8® engineers to offer extreme traction on the street and track. This single-speed, electronic proportioning system is always active—automatically sending the optimum amount of torque to the front and rear axles based on conditions. Drivers can choose between five dynamic modes for specific driving conditions with the Selec-Trac® system: Auto, Snow, Tow, Sport and Track.

HOW THE COMMAND-TRAC® 4X4 SYSTEM WORKS

Command-Trac® 4x4 splits torque 50/50 to the front and rear axles for off-roading or conditions where more traction is required. The main case joint is clamped by 18 bolts for added structural stiffness.
