Since February 2009, the intervals between the scheduled maintenance operations have been set depending on the engine and transmission type. The mileage between the maintenance operations has increased for all the models up to 20 thous. km for the Jeep Commander and Grand Cherokee cars with a 3 liter diesel engine. One can find only few diesel engines in the world which could compete with such a mileage between the maintenance operations!

Since February 2009, the intervals between the routine maintenance operations have been unified for all the cars of the Chrysler corporation. All the cars having petrol engines can pass the first maintenance after 6 months of operation or 5000 km mileage. The only exclusion is Dodge Caliber SRT4 for which the first maintenance is foreseen after one year or 12 thous. km mileage. It is recommended to pass the maintenance No 2 after 12 months from the beginning of the operation of the car or 7 months after carrying out the first maintenance. The mileage between service operations for cars having petrol engines is set at the level of 12 thous. km, for models with 2 liter and 2.8 liter diesel engines – 10 thous. km, and for Jeep Commander and Grand Cherokee with 3 liter diesel engines – 20 thous. km.

According to the new regulation, all maintenance operations are clearly fixed: official tables of the routine maintenance works are available at all the official Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge service stations. Independently of the model, all the elements of the car related to safety are checked in obligatory order. Furthermore, during all inspections except for maintenance No 1, the condition of the salon filter, brake pads and disks, brake tubes and hoses, soft covers of constant-velocity universal ball-joints, front suspension elements and steering system elements are checked.
